Decorreu na Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, em 21 de abril 2023, uma sessão do EU-US Emerging Leaders Visitors Programme – Blue Economy - organizado pela União Europeia, com o seguinte programa:

- The Extension of the Portuguese Continental Shelf project and the Blue Economy,by Teresa Rafael, Adviser, Portuguese Task Group for the Extension of the Continental Shelf
- Financing opportunities for the Blue Economy in Portugal, by Dina Ferreira, Manager, Mar 2030
- Maritime Education and training in Portugal, by Vitor Franco Correia, President, Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique - ENIDH
- Maritime Administration and the Blue Economy in Portugal, by Ricardo Segurado, Deputy Director-General, DGRM

A delegação de jovens americanos, potenciais futuros líderes nas suas áreas foi composta por: Mariana BRAZAO, Chris CORGAS, Jennifer COSTA, Dylan FERNANDES, Kristen HILDRETH, Anjali NARAYANAN, Moriah SALDAÑA, John SCHMIDT, Natasha SILVA, Joana STARK.

Na sequência do evento foi possível identificar excelentes oportunidades de cooperação, nomeadamente no que se refere à captação de estudantes internacionais americanos com ascendência portuguesa, para os cursos marítimos da ENIDH, possível intercâmbio de estudantes entre Portugal e os Estados Unidos e ainda a possibilidade de os estudantes da Escola Náutica poderem fazer estágios a bordo dos navios-escola de algumas academias marítimas americanas.
