The Undergraduate Course in Marine Engineering is designed to train Marine Engineer Officers for the national and international merchant marine, in accordance with the training standards established by the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) STCW - International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers.
A ship is a highly complex production unit, incorporating highly sophisticated technological systems and equipment that require a high level of preparation from the engineers who manage, operate and maintain them, with the aim of ensuring their best performance.
The skills acquired through the range of activities carried out on board by Marine Engineers also make them highly requested professionals by companies in various sectors of activity ashore.
The degree course in Marine Engineering lasts 6 semesters.
