The last day of MESIS'24 was also the National Day of the Sea, and we have chosen this date to inaugurate the cutting-edge International Maritime Safety Center
At the inaguration instructors demonstrated rescue mission with rafts and fighting fire in the engine room, tanks and oil bins used in STCW and other courses.
The International Maritime Safety Center will provide excellent conditions for practicing courses in accordance with the STCW Convention, strengthen training capacity in maritime safety as well as Portugal's international position in the field of transport and maritime security.
It was the grand finale of the conference and ENIDH's centenary celebration. We thank all the attendees, our partners and sponsors,the team involved, Platform Zero Portugal and Associação de Armadores da Marinha de Comércio who together with ENIDH organized MESIS'24.
