"On behalf of Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, I had the great pleasure and honour of participating in the 1st World Maritime Education and Training Multidisciplinary Congress (WMETMC) organised by Universitatea Maritimă din Constanța!
Being invited to give an opening speech, alongside leading figures from the international maritime sector, Online Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation, John Lloyd FNI , CEO of The Nautical Institute, Professor Dong-Wook Song, World Maritime University, Online - Professor Gabriel Raicu – Rector, Universitatea Maritimă din Constanța; President, MARITIME CYBERSECURITY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE, it was a fantastic experience and a unique opportunity. I hope I made a small contribution to the success of this congress!
A special thank you to Prof. Carmen Chirea-Ungureanu and Prof. Remus Zagan and the entire team at Universitatea Maritimă din Constanța on the excellent organisation of the event.
As Vice President of The Nautical Institute, it was a great source of pride and satisfaction to be able to share the opening session of the conference with CEO of The Nautical Institute, John Lloyd FNI, and witness first-hand the recognition given by all colleagues and participants to The Nautical Institute, in particular the students, who will ensure the future of the maritime sector.
Excellent presentations by international experts and students, made this conference a great success and a very enriching experience in terms of sharing knowledge and experiences.
