Under the FY2019 Call, the IAMU (International Association of Maritime Universities) approved the international project submitted by Gdynia Maritime University, Odesa Maritime Academy, Shanghai Maritime University, and the Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, titled CoeffVoltEff - Coefficient of Voltage Energy Efficiency, within the IAMU research line 'Technological Innovations for
Improving Ship Operations'.

The project consisted of international research focused on optimizing ship energy consumption through the monitoring of electrical power quality. It commenced in May 2019 and was completed in April 2020. The conclusion of this project served as the foundation for other sustainability initiatives at ENIDH, such as the eSHIP project and energy efficiency improvements on the school campus
itself.

The ENIDH research team was composed of Professor José Manuel Dores Costa (Principal Investigator) and Professors Mário Assunção and Luís Silveira.

ENIDH played a significant role in achieving the project's objectives, particularly in adapting mathematical formulas to the operational reality of induction motors used on ships. The gallery features images from the working meeting held at Gdynia Maritime University, Poland, in October 2019, as well as the laboratory tests conducted as part of the project at ENIDH's Electrical
Engineering and Electric Machines Laboratory. The total budget was 59,940 USD. The complete summary document, containing all technical data and consortium conclusions (IAMU Final Report - FY2019), is archived in the official IAMU repository under the title 'Research Project FY2019'.
