The entry into force, in 2012, of the amendments to the STCW Convention strenghtens, at the management level, new requirements as regards Maritime Safety, Navigation and Ships Manoeuvers.
The management level includes 1st Class Officers, Chief Officer and Captains. Masters in Pilotage at ENIDH is essential for the training and certification of these officers.
The successful completion of the first year of the
Pilot Master (MPIL) meets the mandatory minimum requirements for obtaining
certificates of competency for first class pilots officials, immediate and
pilots of ships with a gross tonnage of 500 GT or more, as provided for in the
STCW Code (Rule A-II / 2).
