In 2024, the Infante D. Henrique National Maritime College of Portugal (ENIDH), under the dedicated coordination of Professor Manuela Batista and Professor Pedro Teodoro (conference chairs), jointly organized with partners from NTNU (Norway) and USN (Norway) the first international conference on sustainable initiatives in the maritime sector: SIM'24 - 1st International Conference on Sustainable Initiatives in the Maritime Sector.

SIM'24 was a multidisciplinary international conference covering maritime logistics, port and supply chain management, shipping regulations, autonomous shipping, decarbonization, digitalization, and robotics, which took place from June 17th to 19th, 2024.

The SIM'24 conference had a significant regional and national impact, featuring the participation of national and international partners from academia, industry, and other sectors.
