On November 30, 2024, between 9am and 1pm, the Trauma Assistance Process Workshop took place, organized by the Algés Fire Department with the support of Oeiras City Hall, through the Oeiras Municipal Civil Protection Service. This event was an essential initiative for training and qualification in emergency trauma care, aimed especially at the Fire Department of the Municipality of Oeiras and the Medical Vehicle team at Hospital São Francisco Xavier.
The workshop was attended by INEM, with a team of speakers led by Nurse Manager Pedro Vasconcelos and Doctor Marta Custódio, who addressed fundamental topics for the care of trauma victims in critical scenarios. During the event, life support procedures and integrated emergency management were discussed, seeking to update practices and strengthen technical and collaborative skills.
A special note was the presence of members of the academic community of ENIDH (Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique), who actively participated to promote the exchange of knowledge between professionals and enrich the training experience.
This type of initiative reflects the commitment of local authorities and emergency teams to ensuring more effective and rapid responses in pre-hospital care, contributing to saving lives and improving the quality of services provided to the community.
