On 21 May 2024, students from the Degree in Informatics and Computer Engineering, the Degree in Maritime Electrotechnical Engineering and the Higher Professional Technical Course - Computer Networks and Systems at the Infante D. Henrique Nautical College had the privilege of visiting ONI Telecom - Matinha Datacentre from the inside.

In a privileged location, an anti-seismic structure of more than 2000 square metres, self-sufficient from an energy point of view, with high levels of real and cyber security, is built with more than 5 floors of electrical technology, telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

ONI's Matinha Datacentre, with over 500 racks, private equipment, dedicated access services, cloud solutions, virtual servers and MPLS lines, provides management, monitoring and IT services (transmissions, data, voice and access, among others) for Portugal and abroad.

It was a great pleasure for the ENIDH students to visit this Datacentre of excellence and, on behalf of the School, they would like to express their sincere thanks to João Guilherme, Pedro Paixão and Nuno Gonçalves for accompanying them and giving them a guided tour!
