The President of the Republic has just awarded the Infante D. Henrique Nautical College the title of honorary member of the Order of Infante D. Henrique. 

A distinction that we are very proud of and which reflects ENIDH's strong commitment and dedication to the maritime-port community and a commitment to teaching excellence, in a centenary journey of enormous passion for the sea.

On Tuesday, the President of the Republic decorated the Infante D. Henrique Nautical College on the occasion of its centenary, considering that it is an institution that corresponds to a national vocation and has been able to adapt to change.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa awarded this public polytechnic higher education establishment, which trains merchant navy officers and senior staff in the maritime-port sector, the title of honorary member of the Order of Infante D. Henrique, considering that "it is the obvious recognition for an institution like this".

The award was presented at the end of a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Infante D. Henrique Nautical College, in Paço de Arcos, in the municipality of Oeiras, in the Lisbon district.
