On Saturday 15th June, coordinator Tiago Carrelo, representing ENIDH and its open water team, successfully completed the challenging 3000 metre race of the ZURICH Global Ocean Cascais 2024 Crossing.
The teacher completed the race in a time of 52 minutes and 34 seconds, securing 95th place in the overall standings and 8th place in his Master C category.
Carlos Brazão, a former ENIDH student, also took part in this race.
The Estoril-Cascais Crossing is one of the main crossings in the country and is organised by Global Ocean, in collaboration with Cascais Town Hall, the Lisbon Swimming Association and the Estoril Humanitarian Firefighters Association.
The crossing is made up of 4 distances:
Race: 300m
Race: 1,500 metres
Race: 3,000 metres
Relay: 4 x 300m
