The Student Ombudsman is a professor elected to the position by the students, by direct and secret universal suffrage from among the ENIDH's career professors, who develops his action in conjunction with the Students' Association and the ENIDH's bodies and services, namely the Pedagogical Council.
In particular, the Student Ombudsman is responsible for:
a) Assessing student complaints and claims and, if he or she considers them to be justified, making the relevant recommendations to the bodies responsible for dealing with them;
b) To make general recommendations with a view to safeguarding the interests of students, particularly in the field of educational activity and school social action;
c) Promoting inspections of services whose activities are geared towards students and other services where there are doubts as to the regularity of their operation;
For the three-year period 2023-2025, Professor Tiago Carrelo has taken up the post of Student Ombudsman.
