This course is intended for personnel assigned specific duties related to the loading, unloading, care during transport, or handling of oil and chemical cargoes on board oil and chemical tankers.
It fully complies with the requirements of Section A-V/1-1-1 of the STCW Code, as well as the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.01 – "Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations."
Upon successful completion, participants will acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform basic functions related to loading, unloading, and care during the transport or handling of cargoes on board oil and chemical tankers safely and efficiently.
The training provides a fundamental understanding of the properties, hazards, and associated risks of various cargo types, as well as the applicable international regulations and standards governing their transport. Participants will also be able to identify operational risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures, ensuring safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency during maritime transport operations.
