Objective This course provides training for Ship Security Officers (SSO) and Company Security Officers (CSO), in accordance with the provisions of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), Chapters V and XI-2.
The course fully complies with the requirements of the STCW Convention, Section A-VI/5, paragraphs 1 to 4, and Table A-VI/5, ensuring the competence required for the effective performance of shipboard and company-level security duties.
Upon successful completion, participants will be able to implement and supervise the Ship or Company Security Plan, assess maritime security risks and threats, coordinate preventive and response measures to security incidents, and ensure compliance with the ISPS Code and relevant international regulations.
