SECURITY TRAINING FOR SEAFARERS WITH DESIGNATED SECURITY DUTIES

Objective
This course is intended for officers and other crew members who, in accordance with the Ship Security Plan, have specific security duties on board.
The course fully complies with the requirements of the STCW Convention, paragraphs 4 and 6 of Section A-VI/6 and Tables A-VI/6-1 and A-VI/6-2 of the STCW Code, as well as the guidelines of IMO Model Courses 3.26 – "Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties" e 3.27 – "Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers".
The aim of the course is to provide participants with the necessary competence to perform the specific security duties assigned under the Ship Security Plan, including activities related to anti-piracy and armed robbery prevention, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter XI-2 of the SOLAS Convention, the ISPS Code, and Section A-VI/6 of the STCW Code.
