This course is intended for seafarers responsible for handling packaged dangerous, harmful, and polluting cargoes on board ships, based on the requirements of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code and its supplements.

The course fully complies with the requirements of the STCW Convention, Tables A-II/1 and A-II/2 of the STCW Code, as well as the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.10 – "Dangerous, Hazardous and Harmful Cargoes".

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to contribute to the preparation and conduct of the safe transport of dangerous and marine polluting goods by sea, understand the relevant regulations, and appreciate the importance and impact of the safe handling and carriage of dangerous cargoes by sea, ensuring safety and environmental protection.
