The Bridge Resource Management (BRM) Course is designed for masters and deck officers, providing them with the knowledge and skills to manage the ship's bridge safely and efficiently.
The main objective of the course is to ensure safe and effective shipboard operations by improving teamwork, communication, and decision-making, thereby reducing the risk of human error and preventing accidents.
The course fully complies with the requirements of Tables A-II/1 and A-II/2, and Sections A-VIII/2 and B-VIII/2 of the STCW Code, as well as the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.22 – "Bridge Resource Management".
Upon successful completion, participants will demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of bridge resource management, leadership, and teamwork, and will acquire the competence required to perform the duties of an officer in charge of a navigational watch, in accordance with the STCW.
