This training course is intended for candidates for certification as officers in charge of a navigational watch, as well as experienced navigation officers and other personnel with responsibilities in navigation operations.
The course fully complies with the competence requirements specified in the table of Section A-II/1 of the STCW Code, as well as the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.07 – "Radar Navigation at Operational Level: Radar Navigation, Radar Plotting and Use of ARPA".
Upon successful completion, participants will be able to use radar and ARPA safely and effectively while keeping a navigational watch.
