SAFETY AND OPERATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS OVER 1000 VOLTS ON BOARD – OPERATIONAL LEVEL

Objective
This course is intended for marine engineering officers who operate or will operate ships equipped with high voltage (HV) electrical installations exceeding 1 kV.
The main objective of the training is to study the basic configuration and operation of high voltage systems, and to raise awareness of the safety precautions, procedures, and regulations to be observed during their use. The course also covers maintenance, testing, and fault diagnosis of HV equipment.
The training content complies with the requirements of Section A-III/1 of the STCW Code, ensuring that participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to operate and maintain high voltage systems safely and efficiently, in accordance with international maritime safety standards.
