Objective
This course is intended for senior marine engineer officers who are responsible for managing and operating high voltage (above 1 kV) electrical installations on board ships.
The main objective of the training is to study the configuration, operation, and management of high voltage systems, ensuring the continuity and reliability of power generation and distribution on board. The course also addresses maintenance, testing, and fault diagnosis of HV equipment, with particular emphasis on the strict observance of safety procedures and regulations.
The training content covers the competence areas specified in Section A-III/2 of the STCW Code, ensuring that participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the safe management, operation, and supervision of high voltage systems, in compliance with international maritime safety and operational efficiency standards.
