The Engine Room Resource Management (ERM) Course is a training programme designed for senior and junior marine engineer officers, focusing on the development of technical, operational, and management skills required to ensure the effective utilisation of resources within the engine room, while maintaining safety, operational efficiency, and environmental protection.
The course fully complies with the latest requirements of Section A-III/1 of the STCW Convention, ensuring that participants achieve the internationally recognised standards of competence.
Upon successful completion, participants will be able to effectively manage safety aspects within the engine room, apply safe working practices, respond to equipment failures and emergency situations, conduct inspections, and prepare for high-voltage operations. They will also demonstrate a sound understanding of Engine Room Resource Management principles, leadership, and teamwork, and will possess the competence required to perform the duties of an engineering watch officer effectively and safely.
