Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. He obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from Nova School of Science and Technology.
He has eight years of professional experience in Control Engineering in the Automotive Industry at Visteon Company, and fifteen years of experience in teaching electronics and electrotechnics.
Research fields of interest are: navigation systems, sensors and automation, cybersecurity, data communication systems.
