On the occasion of the 2021 European Maritime Day celebrations, we are
pleased to send you the invitation to attend the conference entitled Kindly find attached the programme of the event. The conference will bring together speakers and experts from different institutional backgrounds, who will discuss the achievements so far in the transition towards a sustainable blue economy in the Mediterranean Basin. In addition, panellists will reflect on the regional initiatives and European programs that are currently operational and seek to promote the blue economy. A discussion with experts and practitioners involved in fostering a sustainable Mediterranean blue economy will follow the presentations to deepen the reflection on the paths to foster sustainable blue growth in the region. This event is organised by the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in collaboration with the Government of Spain, the European Commission, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). |
