Objective:

This course is designed for seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board a ship which is required to comply with the provisions of the ISPS Code.

On completion of the training, the trainees shall have sufficient knowledge, understanding and skills enabling them to deal with security related issues onboard ship, which are not designated security duties, including the ability to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness and recognize security threats.

This training meets the requirements of the Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74 as amended, ISPS Code and Section A-VI/6-1 of the amended STCW code.
