Objective:
The course is intended for marine engineering officers that may operate ships equipped with voltage electrical installations higher than 1kV ( high voltage - HV ). It aims to study the basic configuration and operation of those facilities, and raise awareness for safety procedures and usual rules to be observed. Maintenance works and HV test equipment are also referred.
The training contents include matters set forth in sections A -III / 1 of the STCW Code.
