LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT COURSE

Logistics and Transportation Management is an innovative course within the national logistical picture, at the forefront of the latest educational processes, seeking to create highly qualified professionals for the transport and logistics sector in general and for the freight transport sector, in particular.

Transport and Logistics are one of the greatest challenges faced by the country in terms of competitiveness. As regards Management, it can be considered the area that has increasingly developed in terms of importance, employability and remuneration level. Companies have realised that for being competitive, they have to invest in this important value chain segment what may actually represent between 12 to 18% of its production total costs. A degree in Logistics and Transportation Management is currently one of the most interesting academic and professional areas in business management.

Transportation Management is an innovative course within the national logistical picture, at the forefront of the latest educational processes, seeking to create highly qualified professionals for the transport and logistics sector in general and for the freight transport sector, in particular.

Considering this is a Transport Management oriented offer, it surely opens multiple job opportunities both in activities connected to the maritime-harbour sector and in activities connected to the land distribution side (road/railroad transports).

Careers:
• Students can direct their education for either the maritime-ports sector or freight transport sector;
• This first area is especially oriented to logistical operations connected to the maritime-ports sector, namely, maritime operators, port operators, shipping agents, forwarders, brokers, logistic infrastructures managers, etc;
• The second area is specially oriented to the logistics connected to land distribution, including freight road transport companies, logistic operators, logistic platform managers, logistic distribution, etc.
