Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique (ENIDH) is a public polytechnic higher education institute with statutory, scientific, educational, administrative, financial, disciplinary and asset management autonomy, in accordance with its Statutes approved by Legislative Order no. 40/2008, of 07 August 2008, published in the Official Gazette no. 158 – Series II, of 18 August.
ENIDH is a center of creation, dissemination and transmission of culture, science and technology, linking their activities in the fields of education, vocational training, research and the provision of services to the community, both at national and international levels, with a view to enhancing the technical knowledge, thus participating in society-related activities, in particular for the dissemination and transfer of knowledge.
The ENIDH is the only national college dedicated to the training of Merchant Marine Officers and senior managers of the Maritime-port sector in the areas of Intermodality, Logistics and Management. The College is responsible for providing a solid cultural, scientific and technical training and to develop the capacity to innovate and critically analyze as well as to provide scientific knowledge, both of theoretical and practical nature, directed to the performance of the activities of the Maritime-Port sector.
